The 4 stages to a healthy coffee
Sourcing
We first took 45 coffees from every corner of the globe that met our strict criteria.
They had to be organic, sustainably produced and processed in a way the scientific research indicated would lead to a healthier coffee.
We taste tested then independently lab tested them to find the coffee that had the highest inherent potential to be healthy.

The 4 stages to a healthy coffee
Roasting
Badly roasting coffee can destroy up to 90% of it's healthiest compounds. So we took the winning coffee to the roastery and roasted it multiple ways, taste testing and lab testing again.
We found the best way of roasting it to lock in as much of our coffee's natural goodness as possible.
All our coffee is still hand hoasted weekly, on a 12kg Geisen, in Brixton, London. Fresh to order.

The 4 stages to a healthy coffee
Verification
We scientifically verified the coffee's polpyhenols are active antioxidants. Our independent lab test showed 1 cup has the equivalent of 12 punnets of bluberries in antioxidants! Read the full study here.
Coffee is easily contaminated so we also independently verified it contains no mycotoxins, moulds or pesticides which are toxic to human health and are commonly found in standard coffees. Read about mycotoxins here.

The 4 stages to a healthy coffee
Brewing
Coffee's healthiest compounds can vary immensely from coffee to coffee (studies show up to a 31-fold difference!).
We standardise our process at every stage but the final part is up to you!
