exhale coffee - antioxidant lab test report

1 cup of exhale coffee = 12 punnets of blueberries, 55 oranges or 1.2kg of kale!!
.
(in terms of its antioxidant power that is...)
.
In September 2020 we hired an independent UK lab to test the antioxidant power of our coffee vs fruit & veg. We bought them a grinder and cafetiere and sent them our exact brewing instructions. We even paid them to pop out to their local supermarket on the morning and buy the fruit & veg fresh on the day to get a real comparison of a brewed cup of exhale coffee vs the kind of stuff you actually buy and eat everyday.

I'd read the research saying coffee can be one of the most prolific antioxidants in our diets but wasn't quite prepared for just how potent ours was...

1 cup of exhale coffee = 1.8kg of blueberries, 55 oranges or 1.2kg of kale! 🤯

The owners of the lab, and the inventors of the very test themselves, said they couldn't believe their eyes.

The below link is to the full report they issued to us. It's not designed to be peer reviewed, we didn't use a big enough sample size for that, but what it does do is paint a clear picture as to why we think exhale coffee should be part of your diets, today!

Great to see you’re testing the coffee. Have you compared to other coffee brands?

Hey Ben, thanks for the message.

We test for total polyphenols and chlorogenic acid with every shipment and it’s those that give coffee it’s antioxidant potency. And often inbetween shipments too. Have you seen our Our Process page? https://exhalecoffee.com/pages/our-process I have recently added a new batch of certificates there. Plus I’m currently co-ordinating a mass investigation, working with a speciality roasting consultant, to see if we can come up with some imaginative new roasting techniques to push those numbers further. So we’re always working on it!

Also check out my recent blog on polyphenols for a whole different side of testing I’ve been doing myself to try to find the best way to brew coffee. Because how you brew it at home has a massive impact on how much is extracted too.

com https://exhalecoffee.com/blogs/news/polyphenols-what-are-their-benefits-where-to-get-them-and-how-can-you-get-more-from-your-coffee

On that, also check out my Complete Guide to Brewing Healthy Coffee for tips and tricks there too.

Finally, because brewing is so important I’m also working with a factory direct to invent a new coffee brewing device to maximise the polyphenol extraction! So watch this space on that too.

Hope that helps reassure you of the level of nerdery going on at Exhale behind the scenes!

Best,
Al

Love that I can see the lab reports that show off how awesome your product is! I am thoroughly enjoying my exhale. Just wondered how often you are planning to update these lab reports so we can all see that your beans are keeping their high level of quality and all the good stuff we can see in these original reports?

This will now be my second month of drinking Exhale coffee, and I did my homework before I took out a monthly subscription and I really look forward to it first thing.
What’s also very reassuring is the health Benifits. I’m 71yrs old and need all the help I can get lol.
Great find -:)
